The basement is where Oscar Romero, a Salvadorian hero, is buried.

We actually walked in when a stations of the cross ceremony was beginning, so we stuck around.
I don't know who the priest was leading it, but it was a big deal. There were like 16 alter servers.
Finally, on Saturday it was time to head back to Honduras and wrap up the vacation. Here's Mario getting for the last leg of our journey.

And that just about does it. Our trip left us happy as this guy (Mario's nephew Alan Daniel Ramos ... good name).
Other than that, life is good. Teaching is tough, but I am going to see it to the end. I have a plane ticket to return home June 28, although I have no further plans after that which is something heavy on my mind these days. I am not letting it ruin the last weeks I have here though. The mangos are falling like crazy and Honduras is wonderful. Besides solo Dios sabe (only God knows) what lies next.
Hope all is well with you!
